Brick Rangers GAA are a former football team from the Abbeydorney area of North Kerry.

History

Formed in 1979 and folded in 1994 Brick Rangers in the 15 years or so they were in existence, made a fairly decent contribution to Kerry Football. They would have had about eight Players in this period who would have worn the Kerry jersey at some grade or other, with the likes of Pat Slattery, Bernard McElligott and Conor Kearney having plenty of success underage.

They also made a big contribution to St Brendan's District Teams. St Brendan's were very strong at Underage and Senior in the late 1980s, early 1990s, backboned by players from Brick Rangers.

In the early days they had fairly decant underage teams, but they always struggled at Senior Level. In fact they never came out of the bottom Division of the County League, but did however manage to a County Novice Championship in the early 1990s. They often struggled to field teams, with Abbeydorney being more a hurling players were more interested in playing hurling.

In 1992 / 93 NFL season, they had four players the Kerry panel, A great achievement for such a small club. The same year they played Ballyheigue (also not a football stronghold) in the quarter final of the St Brendans Championship (with their four Kerry Seniors in tow) and were beaten.
